Situated in the Mission Beach and Tully Hinterland and set amongst the green rolling hills of Djarawong
with views to the east of Dunk and Hinchinbrook Islands, this delightful purpose
built B&B is absolutely enchanting.
Its relaxed rural location gives our guests the best of two outstanding environments. The quiet of a rural setting
a few kilometres to the Wet Tropics rainforest walks and a short 20 minute drive from Tully to the 14 kilometres of sandy
beaches in Mission Beach.
So, Why is Djarawong B&B So Special?
We really welcome our guests and have designed a complete resort-style home setting for you here. The situation is wonderful with only 2 rooms whose entry doors open onto wide all weather veranda where you have 360 degree views from the mountain ranges to the tips of the islands.
Our solar-heated, salt water, freeform swimming pool gives you the impression of being in a lagoon. Surrounded by tropical gardens with lots of areas to sit and relax. Because that is what Djarawong B&B is all about... relaxation. Our Chinese motifs say it all “Peace and Serenity”.
There is a cabana to sit and enjoy the views or when you feel like a swim just dive in and get cool again. Enjoy the quiet trickle of water that falls out of the huge Balinese bowl while you savour that glass of wine or a beer... delightful!
Sit on the verandas quietly and enjoy the birds or watch the wallabies grazing. Read that book you have been trying to peacefully enjoy. We even have a library to swap your used book to something you may not have read yet.
We have a dining and lounging area where we offer complimentary tea and coffee complete with a full size fridge for you to use. It has comfy lounges, dining tables, BBQ and great views to the pool and the mountains behind us.
With 3 acres surrounding your room you have plenty of space to wander.
At night the Balinese gardens turn into a sparkling array of lights. Tiny pagodas spotted along the
paths and around the pool are simply a delight to the senses.
When the lights go out venture onto the lawn or take a walk to one of the many garden seats and look up. Being in a country setting the star gazing opportunities are endless and there are no lights from houses or street lights to lessen the experience. We even have a star gazing chart for Northern Hemisphere visitors unfamiliar with our constellations or our Southern Hemisphere visitors to recollect on those astronomy classes from your school days.
When your touring has finished for the day sit on the back veranda kick back and relax with a complimentary glass of wine or beer and tell us all about your day. We love to hear of the experiences from our guests and we will share some of the secrets of the area that the locals treasure. Maybe then you will stay a second night and venture further afield.
Check in time is after 1pm and check out is prior to 10am. Arrive early and enjoy all that Djarawong Bed and Breakfast is. Maybe even have afternoon tea with us.
